The Nepal Trust focusses on  improving living conditions and opportunities for children and vulnerable people in one of the least developed areas of Nepal , the Hidden Himalayas. There are no roads in the region and the government health care system is poor. Infant mortality is high and maternal deaths common. rates

The trust works to support sustainable community development projects in education, health, agriculture, renewable energy, sustainable tourism, water and sanitation.

The Nepal Trust has built Health Centres in remote areas to provide basic healthcare. It and works to rebuild schools, ensuring that they are fit for purpose, and has a particular focus on supporting education for girls. One of their projects, The Little Doctor’s programme, equips children with basic health knowledge such as handwashing and oral health, nutrition and diet and basic first aid. Children then share this knowledge with their families, improving the health of the whole community.
