Gavin’s Mill is delighted to welcome Bruce Peter, Professor of Design History at The Glasgow School of Art and winner of the 2025 Research Book of the Year at The Saltires, Scotland’s National Book Awards, for Art Deco Scotland: Design and Architecture in the Jazz Age.
In an illustrated talk Bruce will explore the variety of Art Deco architecture and design across Scotland during the interwar years. Bruce will reveal new perspectives demonstrating that some of Britain’s most remarkable design achievements in Art Deco were north of the border.
Copies of Bruce’s award-winning book will be available for purchase on the night.
